k so i just picked up a 240sx today off farmer and the car is nice for what it is
but the only thing i need help is with the speedometer.
every thing else works in the dashboard clutter works but the part that shows the speed. and do u need da spedometer to work for it to pass safety?

but wont that mean that the meater for how much km the car have and has travel wont run also??

If your odometer works i would suggest trying another cluster, the actual speedo itself may be pooped.
Swap out the spedo in the cluster and that should solve your problem.

um the other day wen i took the car out for a spin da speedometer worked but kept bouncing up n down den off again so i gues somethigns just loos

Sounds like a short or loose connection. Check the wiring up to the harness from the tranny, and under the dash.
And please, for the love of English, try to spell better and use punctuation. Please?
change your spedo in the cluster, exact same thing i had happen with my old SOHC.
