Clutch Problem - Part 3 *pics*

Well I haven’t had any time to get in the garage to take the tranny apart.

But I have been looking through the FSM and the thing that caught my eye
was the release bearing.

I’m wondering if it’s broken or something or it’s jammed or something
causing my clutch to remain fully disengaged.

Quite possible, that is why you need to get under there and pry at it to make sure it is all the way back. The release bearing rides on a shaft, could have gotten seized somehow, lack of lube or the new slave pushing it a bit further than it used to. Once you pry the fork around you should be able to figure it out. The sticking release bearing is a whole lot more likely than the instant pp breakage.

The only thing I would caution you on is to take it apart to fix it and not waste the time trying to get it lose from the outside. You may very well get it lose, if it’s the problem, but if there is something that made it stick once then who’s to say it won’t do it again. At least this time is was in your laneway. Again, unless you are going SR or something in the near future, you do not want to do it twice (NAPA clutch is $150).

Hey Gonad, I don’t have much to add here, but if there is a problem with the bearing, in almost all cases, you will be able to hear it without a doubt.

Anyways, if it helps or not, I hope you get through alright.
