Clutch Problem

i just installed a brand new clutch from fenco and i resurfaced the flywheel. the clutch engagement point is high and under heavy load it slips about 300rpm then grips. the pin for the slave is loose on the fork which is normal. i did use the old release bearing but that also wouldn’t matter i also put alot of grease on the input shaft so the release bearing slides easily. what should i check for before i blame a defective clutch or pressure plate.

please if you have nothing positive to say then dont

you can adjust your grab point underneath your clutch pedal. There is a threaded rod there with two nuts. You’ll see what I mean there. Threading the rod in brings your grab point lower. Threading out brings the grab point higher.

Hope that helps.

that doesnt stop it from slipping. there really isnt much else you can blame, but try adjusting the peddle and drive it for awhile if it isnt any better, you should pull the tranny back off.

or bleed the system

that would be a disengagement problem

not really… i had a sloppy clutch and its cuz I had bubbles in my line, slipped too, I bled the system and she stiffened right up for me.

its a brand new clutch …

you have to break it in.

do you have any freeplay before it engages?

even my brand new act clutch kit feels different then my stock one now it takes to effort to push the pedal down and before with the stock one it took some muscle work, i just want a fucking sr now no more bullshit ka

i pussy footed for 600km is that good enough?.and yes there is freeplay… i also bled it just for the heck of it and same shit…fuck it a new one is going in this weekend thanks for all the help
