Let me know if you think it will live or if you think i should change it.
All help is much appreciated

how do you expect anybody to tell you to keep a clutch or not if you’re onlyshowing the pressure plate?

man i hate the new crowd of kids here.

the flywheel looks pretty rusty?
has it been sitting outside with no tranny on it?

it wont hurt to change the clutch and it looks like an oem style clutch so an upgrade would not be a bad idea for sure.

whoa, no need to be hostile, just relax… wrong pics thats all…

this isnt my first account…

dont give me that crap…and thanks for replying to my pm about the bike btw…

point made…account works again.

you already have the car in pieces, you know the clutch isn’t any good, just replace it.

all i can tell is the springbasket has some burn stains so i would assume the flywheel does too, since assuming is bad i suggest you look for cracks on the flywheel and if there is any replace it with another one you can find on here for cheap, dont buy a new flywheel its a waste of money unless its aftermarket, and use soemthing to measure the thickness of the clutch disk and compare it to spec, call nissan to find spec if you need to, good luck…

Your disk is almost down to the rivets, I’d say replace it now while it is out and apart. You will be disapointed with a stock clutch anyways.

you can save money by having the p-plate and flywheel resurfaced, as well you can get the disc re-done as well.

Not sure where you can get it done… I had mine done a while ago, but my memory isn’t vey good. But I do remember that it was far cheaper than buying new parts.

OK!
Thanks for the help guys. I am going to get a new clutch kit.
Now, about the flywheel… as far as I can tell it is just surface rust from sitting for a while thats all. I took an air hose to it just before the pics to remove the dust.
Any idea how much it would cost to have it resurfaced?
Or should I just sand off the surface rust and use brake cleaner on the flywheel?

resurfacing will usually cost you between 70 and 90 bucks. It is highly recomended. that surface has been burned pretty good. check it closely (very closely) for tiny little hairline cracks. If you see cracks, just replace it too.
