clutch

Chuck

I can’t help you with any technical issues, but SCI Motors is in Abbotsford. They have mechanics on hand there, but unfortunately they’re off til Monday.

For clutch fluid, use only DOT 3 brake fluid on the R32 GTR. You might have to pump the clutch pedal once you top it up, just like when you do a brake fluid flush.

Hope you get back here safe!

ok, where the hell is the resivior???

I love you Q

I have no idea, I’ll go into the garage and check. I think it’s near the firewall

… ya assuming i know where that is, im not all retarded, im sure its the wall between engine and cabin, but you think on cabin side, or engin bay side?

It’s right beside the brake fluid reservoir on the driver’s side near the back of the engine.

It’s kinda small, but it’s in plain sight tucked back there. To the right and down from the blue info plate.

little thing with the white lid??? that says max- and min- on it??? cause thats full on mine…

Yeah that’s the one I’m talking about. I’m only presuming it’s the right one.

Do you still have time to take it to a Nissan dealer? They might be able to help ya out.

think its ok to drive?

Uhh… I’m probably the last person you should ask about that kind of thing. If it’s not too far of a drive to Nissan I might go ahead. I have absolutely no idea what could go wrong, if anything.

Check all your fluids, and see if you can spot where it’s leaking from. That puddle has to come from somewhere… If something is leaking then you can just top it up as needed and get to a shop.

Other than that I can’t really offer much help man. Sorry for the crappy answers

The slave cylinder is probably going. Fill the reservoir up and see if you can limp it home.

Bring extra fluid - lots of it! Don’t want to get stranded in the mountains!

I posted this on GTRC for you as well.

Your clutch has a thing called a clutch booster which runs off the vacum pressure. If you here the sucking then i would assume your car has had a vacume line come off. Get your boost gauge to see anything different. Also check your clutch fluid resivior. Its the little one nearthe intake manifold beside the brake fluid. If your leaking clutch fluid then you have a major problem.

booster makes it easier to use

Charles you can count on me i study my car instead of drive it.

most likely.

Ya the reservoir was full, nissan tech said i may have punched through the diaphram in the MC

but Im back home safely, it wasnt that bad, it shifts fine and the clutch is useable, just hard

thanks for all the info and help guys!!!

good to see you made it back alright, big left leg syndrome eh

just dont have your car in the shop for another 5 weeks (DTP IS IN 5 days)

Sweet… glad to hear you made it back OK 8)

Maybe now you wont drive it like you stole it.
