Clutch pedal

My clutch pedal in the last 2 days went from grabing close to the top to about an inch from the floor, the res is still full and the floor is dry. The cap on the res kinda just sits there, its not atight fit is it possible there is air in there or is the slave screwed. Any Ideas Please

If you know how to bleed your clutch try that. But most likely your
slave is gone (or master?) so do yourself a favour and replace your
clutch slave cylinder and while you are at it, remove the clutch dampner.

Go to Napa Auto Parts and place an order for a “Clutch Slave Cylinder for
a 19## Nissan 240sx”. Usually takes about a day to arrive.
It will cost you $37cad after tax or so.

I have done all this recently. I live in Brampton. If you need help with
anything, let me know; I’ll try and drop by and help you out one night.

I don’t get home till after 6:30 on the weekdays so most likely I can’t
come over till around 8pm. It only takes a few hours to do. Let me know.

Hey Thanks for the advise I think ill try and bleed it first and see if it helps but I think your right about the slave now as far as the dampner I read somyhing about it somewhere but didnt pay attention. Is it easy to remove. I might just take you up on your offer Thanks again

Well try the slave first.

If it works out, don’t worry about the dampener.

The dampener really wont’ solve anything but while you are down there
removing the slave, it doesn’t hurt to remove the dampener.

Let me know how it works and I’ll see what I can do when you need help.
