I don’t even lift that hard. I just want to tone up for the summer. I only throw 125 on for chest and do a bunch of reps. I got 15 reps x 3 sets the first week and the next week I was getting 20x2 and 15x2. :dunno:
that’s pretty much all i got was tone, i wasn’t gonna go and take weight gainers or anythign like that while i was workin out so after a year and not seeing visual results i gave up
i upped weights and added a set of my exercises after one week. Its not so much teh reps but the lack of energy towards the end of my workout, that changed. i’m going monday-thursday and just push-ups on saturday.
It all depends on your genetics and how you are lifting. If you are only going very heavy for low reps(like under 5) then you are not going to see much improvements in the way you look, but your strength will go up decent. If you are eating a lot of protien and staying in the 8-10 rep range while lifting like 5 day/s week you should notice gains lookwise. It is god to switch it up too like with high intensity workouts and going super heavy every once and a while. That is what I found to work for me and I have the typical “hard gainer” body type.
push ups are fun
i’m trying to keep up with my brother, but he does 4 sets of 50 and I can’t keep up with that, yet.
