Coilovers, Camber Plates, & Gaskets

Hi there,

When you install a coilover with hard metal mounting plates, do you think it is wise to install it with a gasket inbetween the mounting plate and the strut tower to insulate it from the road noises?

If you have done it, what does it sound like? is it really loud?

Thanks a lot for any input.

I had them installed with the stock paper/cardboard gasket that was on my stock shocks. worked well.

A gasket doesn’t have to be anything special right, just some kind of a softer layer between the 2 metals. I would definitelly do it, because you don’t lose anything from doing it.

and it sounded just like stock… the ride of course wasn’t as comfy on the 9/7 springs…
