Friends computer updated itself to SP3, and sence then windows wont load without bluescreening. Every time the windows disk “starts windows” after loading the generic drivers, it blue screens. The error code is
STOP: 0x0000007b (0xFFFFFADFC8E323C0, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x00000000000000000, 0x00000000000000000)
from what i can find via google is that this error is occuring because he does not have the proper SCSI or RAID controller and the generic windows cant find a hd (i have replaced the hd, so its not a virus or hd corruption).
Problem with solving this issue… He does not have his origial disk that came with the computer (gateway gm5072) and this model computer does not have a floppy drive on it for the windows disk to recognise. I have the computer running Kubuntu, but he does not like it and would like windows back.
I need to know how to repair this to get windows back on this computer as soon as possible.
