last night i put my copy of norton on my laptop to do a quick scan and it locked out my file sharing between my 3 comptuers (i figured it would do this) but i uninstalled norton, removed everything dealing with norton it left in the registry, uninstalled and reinstalled file and print sharing and ran the network setup wizard again…i still can’t get my laptop to be part of the workgroup. there are no firewalls on here anymore that could interfere all i get is "cannot access workgroup contact your systems admin. the other computers don’t see this one as part of the workgroup either.
can you ping it from another computer?
i had to rename my workgoup for some reason something must have stayed corrupted with norton
