network access problems

I am having a problem with a computer at my house. I have 2 hard wired and 2 wireless. I have had them hooked up like this for probably about 2-3 years and was sharing printers and files. For some reason it just stopped. I can access the web but cannot access it from other computers. I cannot see it in the network computers list when viewing from other computers and cannot see the other computers either. The workgroup name is the same and I have tried to
uninstall/reinstall the network adapter and checked the sharing settings they’re all good. Any suggestions?

Windows firewall get turned on?

Try to reconfigure windows file sharing.

Open the Network Connections folder.
Under Network Tasks, click Set up a home or small office network.

Can you access the shared folder via IP?

I’m not sure how to do that.

Map a network drive?

First get the ip address of the computer with the share folder you wish to access.
Start - Run - ipconfig (get the ip from there)
Ex.) 192.168.1.5

Locate the shared folder name
For now lets pretend the folder is called Share

On the computer trying to access the shared folder open any folder
Go to Tools - Map Network Drive
Choose a letter for the drive: Any not used is fine Z:
Then for the location type for ex.) \192.168.1.5\Share

Click Finish

Then it should pop up the shared folder.
If not, go to My Computer and it should be there.
See if that works, if not, somewhere along the network sharing is messed up. Maybe the permissions.
