Concession.

no a swing state is a state that can swing the election in ones favor or visa versa

sam… realize what that ‘equation’ is going to dictate… it’s the votes for kerry - bush / total = swing… so the swing is the amount of variation there is possible for the state… ±10% says that if just 10% of voters go one way, they’ll win the state. whereas a big state like … texas would have a huge amount republican and small democrat

just bust out calc.exe and look…

5 mil kerry - 25 mill bush / total = .66

20 mil kerry - 21 mil bush / total = .02

so that’s texas = 60% (not swing)
other = 2% (swing)

trust me, i’m correct. (although i did make up the numbers)

We controlled all three for the past 4 years and nothing that radical happened, but you are right about the justices. I hope he puts someone in there that has some morality about abortion etc.

by that deffinition wouldn’t every state be a swing state since you need 270 and every electorial vote counts towards swinging the win in your favor :dunno:

I always thought a swing state was one that could go either way that has a decent number of electoral votes. Texas was clearly going to go to Bush and Kerry was going to get Mass. so they were not swing states.

did you guys not read my explaination… i’m going to venture to say it’s correct… it’s just math… :duh:

With Arlen Specter as head of the Senate Judiciary Committee?

I think Bush’s biggest opponent in the next four years is going to be none other than that fellow Republican.

I’m starting to love Arlen Specter.

John Ashcroft has all but stated that he’s gone for the next term, and there is speculation that Powell is “getting the fuck out of Dodge” as well…

the future’s so bright, i gotta wear shades.

specter is a piece of shit…

don’t know why he doesn’t just admit he’s a democrat!

Fixed
