i dont think so cause when the 360 came out it was not competing with any new counsels like the ps3 is.
You should know that since the BOM is so much more than what the console is being sold at on top of the manufacturing and assembly costs, development costs, etc, they push those losses onto the gaming companies to recoup expenses, etc. That is one reason why there is not an abundance of titles for the PS3.

The only need for a PS3 would be as a cheap blu ray player, other than that, its esentially useless as a gaming system, its just too dam expensive…
Wii is fucking awesome, but yes, it is nice to have great graphics too, so thats why you need a Wii and then a 360, in that order…
