Gotcha.
Still going to rock the same wheels too?
Yes, for another season, but of I get everything else I want done in going to have them powdercoated
The same teal as the valve cover and other stuff?
The face, spokes, and center caps in the matte black, and the lips and barrels in teal
corey dont take these guys the wrong way … they are just fucking with you … good group of guys here on shift
Should look pretty good.
Did you roll your front fenders? IF so how much of a cluster fuck was it to do?
i’ll race you for $1k shifting at 5500rpms. I could pay off some bills.
My stock fenders were rolled and pulled front and back this past season, but now I have downforce +30mm front fenders and shine rear over fenders, no more choppy lookin pull
Sounds good Dan, just some shit seems malicious but I’ll deal
If you need help rolling your fenders I’d be more than happy to help. I’ve done quite a few sets now.
Travis, he uses all Fragola lines, and I had him knock me down to a -8 feed and return just for you lol
LOL, it’s your car, do as you wish.
FWIW, my car makes well over 800 at the crank on two modded 255’s, -6 feed, -4 return and ID2000’s. Lines are no restriction on the system.
Most of my fuel system arrived today… still waiting on my filter, a few fittings, and ID2000s (need to sell my 1000s!!!)
GOT PROGRESS TODAY! WOOT! Got my fuel lines all run and mounted, fuel rail and regulator mounted on the motor and FINALLY finished welding all the seams and templates in the bay, just a bit more grinding and then sanding and the bay is ready for primer! THURSDAY THE BAY WILL BE IN PRIMER!
As usual, enough of my mouth… on to pics…
BIG SHOUT TO LJ AND EVERYONE AT FULL BLOWN!!!
Rail and regulator mounted and line loosely fit, still need to get a good vise to tighten them down without scratching things up!
Fuel lines back to front
Fuel lines front to back
Rears of the shock towers
Firewall seams all welded up!
Firewall fully welded, just needs grinding and sanding!!
Im really glad I got moving on the bay again, feels great!
so how much power will you be making again?
I will be having Jeff Evans limit me to 650whp for this season, until I can get a real transmission in the car, then we will just see what it pumps out
nice, hopefully everything works out for you.
I see no reason as to why it wouldnt!
More updates, yesterday I spent the day removing the front subframe, suspension, power steering, brakees, and grinding off the old rubberized undercoating in the wheel wells, and grinding the back of my welds, and recoated the wheel wells with rubberized undercoating (forgot to take pics before taping the car off) and then taped the car for primer! Today I am going to finish grinding in the corners, sanding down any painted areas and tonight it goes under 3 coats of primer! 1 coat of self etching to bite into the metal, then two coats of high performance primer to give the all metal something to sink its teeth into
PICS!
Pictures of the driver side wheel well, unfortunately only about half way through smoothing things out… this was a horrid part of the build, but neccasary!
Front end fully stripped!
Taping just about done! God I cant wait to see this thing move forward!!! SO happy with the progress so far…
Update for today! Got this thing FINALLY in its first round of primer next thing to do is scuff it all back down and run over the welds with a little All Metal filler to make things perfect… thatll be next weeks project! anyhow, on to the pictures…
New undercoating applied to the wheel wells…
Rear of the shock tower smoothed out after the newest plate was welded in…
Fully prepped bay!
Primed! Finally…
