i lose about half the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir each month. i changed both the MC and brake booster last year because of the same problem. the paint on the tower/frame under the MC and brake booster is all eaten away and i’d just like to know if the cause is from a faulty master cylinder or brake booster or both. thanks.

as with all disappearing fluid… follow the leaks… if there are no leaks that also tells us something… leave a sheet of newspaper under the car held down with tape
check the slave cylinder? are the soft lines weeping?, any drips on the driveway?
I’d say check all the fittings, hardlines/flex lines etc look for wetness
the hard/soft lines are good. it leaks between the master and booster…where the rod is. it eats the paint going down the booster and onto the shock tower/frame. could the seals/o rings be bad on the master? neone rebuild their master b4?
Leak between the input piston rod and seal, common enough.
Just get a rebuilt one.
im having the same problem…can you get a rebuild kit for the m/c? or is it better to just find a rebuilt one?
