Thankfully they’re from NZ, not the US. They admitted it was their fault and only came forward to spread the word to other lock challenged individuals.
Most cars will automatically unlock when you pull the handle twice… the front doors anyway. The story definitely leaves me with many questions.
…like how did they make it this far in life.
My co-workers Honda Insight does not, but it took me all of .05 seconds to realize that I needed to flip the level from lock to unlock to actually be able to open the door.
Some people just need to be removed from the Herd…
They cant figure out how to unlock a door. So they folded down the back seats crawled into the trunk to retrieve the spare tire jack and failed to notice the release handle that are on many trunks? Then don’t have the strength or know how to break a window. I didn’t know mazda made a armored version of their cars like audi and mercedes 
Our Honda Odyssey took 4 solid blows with a hammer (hard, but not so fast that my hand would go through it)before i finally said fuck it and swung it harder. Really impressive how strong the side window glass is in these cars. Almost sliced my wrist to hell too. So that part i understand.
however… ALL CARS HAVE A WAY TO GET OUT SO THAT WAY YOU ARENT FUCKED IF THE BATTERY DIES… OR IF YOU ARE IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE POWER IS CUT. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO HAVE THEIR CITIZENSHIP GIVEN AWAY TO SOME MESSICANS.
If the car was running and they were in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning, why didn’t they just turn the car off?

the unfortunate thing here is that due to their age they have probably already procreated and passed their genes along. Sometimes I think we as a society have made things too safe and Darwin can’t effectively do his job anymore. He was so close here.
