Coyotes file for Chapter 11

And Jim Balsillie offers $212.5 mil to move them back to Canada.

The co-CEO of BlackBerry maker Research In Motion said that his $212.5 million offer is conditional on the Coyotes relocating to Canada, where they existed as the Winnipeg Jets before moving to Phoenix for the 1996-97 season.

Word on the street it will be in Hamilton.

Hamilton Blackberries?

lol

i would be all about this

I was wondering why You of all people would be reading sporting news, let alone hockey news.

Now I see that it came via your BBumbilical.

also heard hamilton.

however…i do also know that bettman does not want Balsillie owning any nhl team lol.

anywhol… i say bring back the JETS!

I still don’t see the NHL allowing a team in Hamilton with Toronto just up the highway.

I <3 hockey.

And I heard it watching the vancouver / Chitown game last night.

it would be 3 teams within 80 miles lol.

make them the jets again. then we just need hartford back where they belong

Recently the NHL players union expressed it’s wish that there be two Toronto NHL teams, now this news comes about. Well maybe they will get their wish. The Toronto area can easily support two, NYC has 3.

I wonder if this would hurt the Sabres considering the number of Canadians that are Sabres fans.

good point, but i really dont think it would really hurt them. but who knows to be honest. guess we just have to wait and see if the team even goes there.

srsly tho…bring back the JETS!

I heard about them moving to Hamilton about a year ago now from a pretty reliable source.

haha nah Billy D and family.

Haha… they wont go to Hamilton.

My guess is a second Toronto team, and yes, either way this will hurt the Sabres imho. Try people watching during the intermissions at HSBC. EVERYONE has Canadian accents lol.

JETS FTMFW!

ahhhh good deal

Hamilton needs a new arena first, Copps won’t cut it.
