Its probably ranked up there with sitting on a microwave tho your phone in standby doesn’t use as much radio waves as if it was in a call.
I always remove it if I have to fart, though.
apple will fix it for like 200 bucks my buddy replaced his him self he got the new screen on ebay
i always put it on my lap too, i try not to… because if i do i always forget when i get out.
and if i get out and some place like a mall or somethign, and it falls in teh snow and i dont hear it…

Ordered a new screen off Ebay. Seems simple enough to swap out.
Ive swapped several iPhone displays, and theyre not that hard to replace… But its not for someone who has no clue what theyre doing. Theres several ways to possibly damage your phone in the process.
But, absolutely dont pay the $200 to replace the display at the apple store. Theres several capable people who can do it for you for $50-100. Or you can try it yourself if youd like. Its not hard, you just need to be gentle. Ive seen people crack connectors off the main board, tear the connection off the digitizer, leave a screw in the phone, etc…
Make sure all the screws go back in, and if you didnt get a suction cup with the digitizer assembly, find one. Its just the two screws on the bottom, remove the glass with the suction cup, 4 screws under tape on each side, and remove the LCD assembly… reverse. A 15-30 min task.
FML. So I fixed the screen, (and LCD since I broke that in process :(.) was using the phone, the screen froze during a call, I tried to restart it and now…BRICK. This fucking blows. Took it back apart to double check the connections, and everything is fine. Not sure what the fuck it could be.
Going to the Apple store to have them laugh in my face when they see an aftermarket screen and LCD in there. Ugh…
LCD swap should not brick your iphone unless you really messed something up when installing it or something
Went to the apple store, dude didn’t know what could have caused it. He took the front off, put it back together, and it started up. Didn’t do anything different from me, but whatever. Perfect timing because I was about to give up and buy a new phone.
I’m just happy my phone is working now. Time to back everything up just in case. :eekdance:
