It was 65 yesterday and it’s going to be 65 today… kinda cloudy today though.
I thought it was lighting out at 4 am, but it was only transformers blowing up every 2 min. It was awesome!
I was also woken up at 4:30 Am. Then I ended up chasing my garbage tote down the street.
it came thru Rochester at 5:30, I had my window open and got a little wet.
No work today, for once. And yet the power is on at home.
Also up at 4:30am, and been awake since basically. Worst wind I’ve seen locally. I can’t wait to see what wind readings Mt Washington, NH gets out of this when it hits there later today/tonight.
There were a few 100ft tall pines that I was very nervous driving by on my way to work as they were swaying like I’ve never seen a tree. Thankfully those pines are so damn stable and durable.
There is a huge Blue spruce down(on top of power lines) on South Street in EA.
240 is closed in Colden.
It took me a while to clear all of the debris in my driveway this morning.
I guess having a looooong driveway in the woods can be a burden.
The Sierra Nevada mountians had 200 mph winds along with several feet of snow last weekend.:jawdrop:
Kirkwood reported 132 inches, which is 11 feet.
Gonna work on the Mustang???:wiggle:
i woke up at 415 to see wind like ive never seen it before out of my bedroom window. it was pretty cool
I had to drive a tractor trailer for an hour and a half this morning. Felt like a damn sail boat. Peak gust reported was 62 MPH. Not enough to flip me over. Was told by the man “The Show Must Go On”.
No power loss but I woke up to some seriously loud wind, then my dog next to the bed going “So, uh, is everything OK? We’re cool? OK. I’m just gonna, like, hang out here on the bed with you. You know, just in case.”
Tell that to the guy I saw taking pictures of the pine sitting on top of his SUV on Ranch Trail this morning.
i slept through it all, now im mad… but myapartment building doesnt shake or anything to let u know its windy out… i kind of miss that from my parents house where it sounded like the world was coming to an end
Good thing my house is block not wood framed because I’m pretty sure the big bad wolf was outside this morning…
Eh, they are a hell of a lot more resilant than hardwoods and can endure a ton more abuse.
Obviously some will stiff fall, but I’d take my odds with a pine over a hardwood.
Its gonna take more than that to wake my ass up.
