When you see how much money is being made directly by others, your salary which once seemed to be great, is now pennys… I’ve learned to always talk/act/sound broke if I ever have another employee. He probably made $1,200 a week which was good until he was taught that the business makes $8k a week in JUST scrap gold alone. All of a sudden his $1,200 a week aint shit and the stealing starts…
I used to buy mayfair jewelers gold every week and the employees did alot of the buying… They also were the ones selling it to me at the end of the week. They figured out what they paid and what I was giving them and said in there mind, whaatt thhee fuckkk… And then 6 months later the employee contacts me saying she had a friend from florida that buys gold and she gave it to me to sell… $35,000 worth… Wonder where she got that from???
And I just looked him up on NYSDOCS and dont see him there so he probably worked a deal, ratted a few people out and got off with probation.
Temptation would definitely be there for sure, I dont think I could do it. I’d be way too paranoid lol. I’ll stick with my average, not very exciting life.
that sucks, people go nuts for copper, someoe broke into this firemans house we working on and cut the wires from his panel box in the basement to the floor, he had to rewire his whole house.
Someone stole our copper heating oil line from work one night while we were there, shit is crazy. Scrap yards started checking ID and taking photos of anyone that sells copper to them up here.
