Custom honda intake plentum

Not sure what year, but its Mark from Mcb’s road race civic. He had a carbon fiber one that was collapsing under the vaccum. He told me Tuesday that he needed it by Friday. We dropped it off Thursday!:hsdance:

Its got 4 velocity stack inside and he is using webber side draft carbs

wow…nice work

Whats scary was that motor was making the old box collapse even though it was breathing through a restricter :eek4dance Nice work you made that thing up in a hurry!

awesome

you got some serious talent and fab skills

The restrictor probably made it have such a low pressure area in the plentum.

 Nice work!

That is still a lot of vacuum to collapse a CF plenum. What was the wall thickness of the CF? What is the wall thickness of the alloy one, and did you have a chance to flow test it?

mmmmm… carbs!
Looks good!

 love the airbox + stacks

Single layer carbon fiber mat. 1/8 aluminum now.

Flow test!?!? That shit was done in 2 days, without having the car here to mock it up. He’s gonna have to dynamic flow test it on the track!

I remember the shape of the orginal, and I can honestly say for being made out of metal what Jay did is DAMN close.

I’ve posted this before, but just for shits here is the race car (graphics have changed a little but you get the idea).

Sweet…Nice work

awesome

Is that a D series in that car ?!?

I think techinally thats the older E series motor if I’m right. The Si engine found in a 1st gen CRX basicly (though pretty far from stock).

1st gen CRX FTW
