i have read enough that i dont want to experience one and proven that it is a big waste of money and you can still go very fast with out needing slicks or an EBC. So i think i can talk shit on it all i want when i have the numbers to prove that my $75 hallman works fine for 1/4 of the price of an EBC.

Because experience trumps all. If all the fast guys are saying some fancy part is junk and to use a cheap one…well, there’s probably a reason. Hell, if a shop owner is trying to NOT sell a $300 electronics part that probably has a killer markup on it, there’s probably a reason…

well i guess tony from t1racing would be a good example, he runs 8.8 in a fwd sfwd trim integra using boost by gear by rpm… is that fast enough??? and the solenoid is actually cheaper than the mbc he sells out of his shop…
the point i was getting at is that if the technology is there and you are exceeding your traction limits why not use that technology to better your times/car??
i seriously doubt i will run low 11’s on street tires lol, and i should be very close to 130mph traps on 93 octane, im not the type to say my car will do this or that without actually doing it
and i never said i am all about street cars either, i was just asking a question followed by a suggestion, in which the response was that they are junk or will never be used
to me if you drive a car on the street you want the least amount of spin to achieve maximum traction and all the while putting down as much power as you can, with a manual single stage boost controller i just don’t see that as possible, which is why i asked if evo/dsm had problems because emery stated it had a lack of traction ( and the owner told me personally it did)

Solving the lack of traction with a better tire will make the car faster than solving it with less boost.
My lack of traction (1.7 60 ft) and yours (2.5 60 ft.) are completely different
i completely agree a bigger/stickier tire will help alot, but that can only overcome soo much (and i cut 2.0’s thanks)

I’ve never seen anyone have any luck with an ebc. I know a bunch of megasquirt people were trying to do different setups, using the abs for traction control based boost, and some had time and gear based boost setups, and then I have other people trying to use the AVC-R, and not a single one has had much luck at all.
Even my SRT had trouble with the stock controlled ebc. The setup I had ran me 11 psi down low, and 26 up top, but it would change from day to day, week to week. I like to have full boost whenever I want it. If it’s too much for my tire, feather the gas. If someone goes WOT and spins, and stays in it, they are doing somethign wrong.
Emery how much for a EBC for my camaro?
none of those systems are pwm based using gear/rpm
and last dyno i had 438 @15psi, upgraded some parts and 500whp shouldn’t be a problem around 18-20psi

havent had a chance to run it at the track yet, although i put out similar numbers as the black del sol and he starts walking chris’s evo in 4th gear when they are both on pump gas
