I have my d2’s on my s13 but the ride height is way off. I have 8-6’s so the preload is going to be different than what has been suggested on here since almost all of you with D2’s have 7-5’s. If anyone can suggest a preload how far the bottom collar is threaded on, please do. Right now they are sitting a little lower than stock height.
This is how I did my preload.
Your D2s should come straight out the box, without preload adjustment,
and be installed and adjusted to the ride height you want.
You don’t adjust the height by adjusting the preload. You adjust the height
by moving the bottom cylinder (on the shock) up or down.
Grab a measuring tape and good luck. It’s not as hard as you think.
GOnad what spring rate are those?
And yes I know the cylinder on the bottom is for adjusting ride height but I spun mine all the way to the top and it wasn’t low enough. Also, my D2s had something removed from them before I got them so they were taken apart. The problem is if I preload, the car goes up. If I dont, I cant spin the cylinder up enough to get the height i want.
I have 7/5.
If your front and rear are identical to each other (not front vs rear but
front vs front and rear vs rear) and you are still seeing an uneven
balance, either something is wrong with your shock or your car is
improperly balanced in someway?
I really can’t suggest much unless you post pics or something.
