I fucken hate ontario and its roads/law.
I swear to God I had this idea just a few days ago, to do a documentary on the situation of traffic law system and the condition of our roads… i am seriously considering it and im not bullshitting… because i’m really fed up. I want to expose the government how much they really ‘care’ about safety and our well being and where our tax dollars go. Filmed proof of all the shitty roads, analysis of the traffic laws and how they are implemented, as many news stories, articles collected, etc… I kid you not… seriously something I’m considering and seriously something that needs to be done.
The last several days there have been accidents on the 401… JUST HOW IN GOD’S NAME IS THIS POSSIBLE VERY SINGLE DAMN DAY! Every single damn day traffic rush hour too, there is something wrong, very wrong. All roads ABSOLUTE garbage, and all these ridiculous money making laws just keep sweeping past us on and on… where does all our money go. Yet in the rest of the world, with even crazy winter conditions like ours, people enjoy their drives more, have better roads, and less retarded laws. I keep using germany and finland as examples and i know i beat into it, but its the truth.
The only traffic law ontario has triumphed in that could save humanity in the vehicle transportation way of life is the turning right on a red light.
no man, finch approaching martin grove in that bend by the ghetto houses and school is DISGUSTING. theres a pot hole maybe 4 feet wide and 3–5 inches deep. almost drove through it last nite.

If we are to be paying taxes and get ridiculous laws that take people’s money, yet be getting shitty roads and treatment in return, we damn right have a right to be pissed about it. I want to enjoy my drives to and from work, my family, trips, etc… without having to damage my car or be harassed or be under a watchful draconian eye like a sheeple fit for a communist state.
And if you think I’m over exaggerating, maybe you just haven’t seen anything else to really compare it to or have been following the political decline of the whole damn place in the last ten years.

The city will pay for damages if you can prove it was their fault. Take pics and they will send a guy to inspect the road and if they feel that you were not at fault they will pay for the damages, you just have to wait a while.
When I worked at Prestige motors we once had a guy that had his Jaguar towed in on a flat bed with a broken control arm, cracked bearing plate, damaged strut, damaged rim and riped tire all caused by a pot hole a city construction crew forgot to fill up. The city paid for his damages it just took him a while to get his money.
A guy came into my work a while back with a bubble back civic with a k20 swap. Hit a pothole or something in the road and smashed the cast oilpan to pieces so the engine ran dry, smashed the oil pump and carriers for the axels, and tore the header up pretty good. The city agreed to pay for repairs, we ended up quoting him a whole new (used) engine and a few other misc parts. We were even going to try and get him a JDM K20a, but he ended up taking it elsewhere…
