Dear Bing:

I remember pictures from last year or a couple of years ago of your buddy from NY, with the white 300XZ. He had that blue protective film all over the front of his car. I want some, as I will be driving down to FL in June and I don’t want to kill my front end.

Any ideas as to where to get that shit, or what it’s called?

Anybody?

Painters Tape.

Im not sure if thats what he was using, but painters tape would work just the same, and its cheap

What kind of car are you driving now?

I’m finalizing a deal on an IS300.

Painter’s tape might work…i guess, but I want something that does not come in strips. More like a sheet or something.

I don’t know how good it works but I remember seeing a spray on temporary hood protector at canadian tire. I think duplicolor makes it. you spray it on and then wash it off with soap and water

3M Makes the product your looking for. It’s a clear plastic film that is professionally fitted to the front of your vehicle. I saw this on a BMW M Coupe and it was really slick.

Talk to those guys as I think they may give you better direction.

thats a good idea, but I think he wants something temporary.

The white 300 with the blue film on mirrors and front.

I suggest a few layers of painter’s tape (which looks like the stuff that white 300zx that you linked to is using) or a spray on and peel off subsitute:

I don’t have personal experience with anything other than the painter’s tape, but 've heard good reviews on both of the spray products. Basically you spray it on, and then you can peel it off. Kind of like liquid latex

i think you can probably score some of that shit off of a brand new car at a dealership. walk up peel off throw in your trunk and your good to go. that looks like the stuff they use when they ship cars from manufacture to dealer. Grab the plastic hub cap covers too :):). but that is def the stuff that the factory uses to protect the cars on the trucks. best thing. maybe call lexus and ask for that jazz direct fitted for your car. ORRR just go steal some and make it work

cal, 90% sure he just used painters tape and spent a few hours applying it.

either way, he’ll be filming this weekend in niagara so you can ask him yourself.
