well the certain SRT8 jeep was my girl friends! It did blow up, but there was 0 fluid on the ground, it did not blow while he was driving, I was!!!, nor was it his fault, its was the POS solonoid that stuck open when we were cruising down the road at 40mph and emptied the entire 10lb. bottle into the motor. hahah i love how shit gets twisted! To make a long story short her father found out about it and traded her 06 in for a brand new 09 srt8 jeep, im sure you guys will see it in action soon enough.

the cammed mustang is funny also! Every one at redline told him it was going to make less power and torque everywhere! it was a big joke down there b/c he wanted to spend money to make his car sound better and lose power, get your facts straight!

How can swapping in performance cams make a car lose power?

Well Tony can never make up his mind with the sound, I know that for sure because one week he’ll have cats and the next week he wont. He’s swapped mid pipes several times.

Theres no way he should have lost power from those cams, thats just stupid. I know Howard aint a Mustang/Ford guy, but if ya do like 20mins of research you can pick up 15-30whp all day long with a 3V cam swap.

Im pretty sure that cam wouldnt be produced if it down graded performance across the board.

Any cam should improve performance and sound.

Yeah, I mean I can see losing some low end hp/trq, which is common in going to a larger cam, but not losing across the entire powerband. He put down 315whp, which is up from stock, but still not where it should be…

Yeah I hear ya. I was told the same thing by howard when I wanted him to do HiTech Stg2 cams in my buddies 2V Gt. He said it wouldnt gain ANY hp, which i know is wrong, b/c on average a bolt-on 2V with these cams are putting down 300whp or so, and are running low 12’s on a stock lower end 4.6, which aint bad. Like I said, hes not a ford guy…which isnt a bad thing, but its tough to make recommendations about stuff when you dont know the platform well. Thats all. He seems to know all about the C5/C6 platform though.

i have had some VERY questionable things said to me from howard as well… but on the same tolken, who cares about the horror stories (unless you are one of them)… if you dont like RLMS dont go there, if you dont own a GM dont go there, if you cant pay to play dont go there! plus u guys have to understand… thats his hobby shop. lol. there are plenty of other options within an hour or two

I don’t know what the deal is with all of this Redline drama… Don’t modify a car if you care about it breaking. Howard is tuning my car in the near future and I expect it to blow up, not because of him, but because I’m going to spray the ever loving shit out of the thing and push it to it’s limits.

If you have something to say about him, say it to his face. He’s pretty straight forward and wouldn’t mind talking about it.

this thread is funny… good luck jim p, and just remember, a dyno is just a tunning device, knock about 20 - 30 wheel off your power bc the dyno is very happy. btw, i had no idea howard had any interest in doing srt4’s

I would tune it myself if I had a dyno and was an SCT dealer…

I’ve already had the car on the rollers elsewhere, honestly, I don’t care what power it makes. I’m more concerned about the E/T and trap.

He’s leaning it out for a solid pump gas tune which should be ~350whp. (I’m guessing the car makes close to that now. Comparing my e/t and trap against others with the same car.) Then he’s duplicating that tune with 10* of timing pulled out of it for the nitrous. I don’t plan on spraying it on the rollers, but it would be cool to have a number.

I know the car will go low 11’s without a doubt, I’d like to get a 10.9x pass out of it this year before I tear it down and build the thing.

Exactly. Howard doesn’t want to tune SRT-4’s, he’s tuning mine because I know exactly what I need done, know exactly how it needs to be done, and I could do it myself if I had the tools.
