repost?

Shitty deal - that sucks

to add insult to injury look at the people say:

“Where’s were the parents?”

calling the parents dummies for letting the girl do this.

a wicked point was brought up by the one poster who mentioned that drivers like Tracy, Villenevue et al start racing much younger than 17 years of age. most professional racers do.

apparently there is no ignorance screening process for posting replies to articles.

there is no better way to go than doing something you love… beats the shit out of aids.

A girl named Kendall?

Man sucks to hear, shouldn’t surprise anyone to start hearing ignorant
parents to start yelling their heads off.

Out: Video games
In: Drag racing (at the drag strip)

:hsugh:

Two torontomaximacom club members were at the strip that day. They said it was pretty horrible. My sympathies to her family. She died doing something she loves, but at such a young age.

my condolences to the family…

got to love teh jackass comments, I mean, in our society its all TOO COMMON for people to make comments dispite ignorence of facts…

my good friend was there and actually has video footage…its one of the sadest things ive ever seen. one chute didnt open so the air caught in just the one chute sent her into the wall…

he said it was the worst sight of his life.

show me this “rocket car” that she was driving… ive been hearing about it all day where are pics

I seen it on the news just now…damn rocket car …but still …people know they could die everytime they go down the strip…sad. but it shouldent be a suprise.

Kendall was from Windsor and grew up in a very race oriented family. Her father is a mechanic and also owns a speedshop that Kendall worked at. She had alot of talent and had been drag racing FAST cars since she was very young. She also has a younger sibling who does jr. dragsters, something she used to participate in.
For someone to come out and say “where were the parents”, and calling them stupid at a time like this is just plain fuck1ng ignorant.

RIP

may she rest in peace…

thats horrible no one deserves to die so young

at least she was doing waht she loved

rest in peace, my condolances to the family. Lets stay safe next weekend.

Not to say Cayuga isnt a good track but WTF was she doing running 500 k/hr down that thing. I wouldnt dare break 250 k/hr in a street car let alone a dragster with a rocket on the back.

This stuff always happens to the best of em.

this is why races have sanctioning bodies and FIA style insurance that also demand a level of quality of everything there and the track itself

race cars have cages, drivers wear harnesses and helmets, in the end these are all risk mitigators, and in no way eliminate the basic fact that bodies are fragile and going silly speeds is dangerous at all times in all vehicles

and yes the age argument is stupid, I bet she was a safer driver for the experience, how many 16yr olds with brand new driving licenses get into huge accidents, how many even older than that with passengers get killed doing 100k/h…

it’s like telling a kid not to play with a live 110v electrical socket, I’ve been zapped countless times and lived, so 10v being 10 times less should be safe… but even 10v under the right circumstances could kill you

this was a freak accident. There is no reason why anyone should ever justify a tradgedy like this.

jet-car racing is pointless.

I feel pretty bad for the family, but they knew the risk when they let their daughter drive a 500kph machine.

Is that a serious comment? That could be said about anything. Care to elaborate?

There’s a lot of stuff that others view as pointless, I can’t really say I see the appeal, but I know many many people that don’t see the appeal of all the things I like to do.
I do feel that it’s not a bad way to go however, if I die, I’d like it to be either on the track, or in the arms of a hot asian woman

It is pretty pointless, Jet engines are used in planes. sure you could put a car engine on a bycicle, it’ll go real fast but its better in a car. same goes for jet engines.

Edit: not that i dont care about the death, i feel for her family and friends, but really it wasnt a good idea in the first place.
