Is that a serious comment? That could be said about anything. Care to elaborate?
There’s a lot of stuff that others view as pointless, I can’t really say I see the appeal, but I know many many people that don’t see the appeal of all the things I like to do.
I do feel that it’s not a bad way to go however, if I die, I’d like it to be either on the track, or in the arms of a hot asian woman

It is pretty pointless, Jet engines are used in planes. sure you could put a car engine on a bycicle, it’ll go real fast but its better in a car. same goes for jet engines.
Edit: not that i dont care about the death, i feel for her family and friends, but really it wasnt a good idea in the first place.
doas some 1 know whare to go to see the video of it happening.

Jet engines belong on bikes.

perfect example, cool machine, but a very bad idea.
320 HP @52,000 rpm
425 ft/lbs @ 2,000 rpm on a bike WTF
a GSXR 1000 is too fast for its own good, that is just insanity.
anyways back ontopic, i was talking to my dad about it and apperantly the OPP are into an invesigation concerning her not haveing an NHRA licence for the jetcar. anyone know anythign about that?

Really? With that line of reasoning, ABS brakes should not be on cars. They were developed for airplane use.
Also, gas-turbine engines are used on some ground vehicles as standard equipment. The M1 Abrams tank used a gas turbine engine coupled to a transmission for four forward speed and two reverse speeds.
It seems to me that some things that are innovative are referred to as pointless.
I agree it is dangerous, but I don’t think it’s pointless. As Solarion mentioned, there are viewpoints about what is pointless and what is not. I guess I’ll just agree to disagree.
you cant compare ABS and tanks to a 500km/h dragster. ABS are on cars becuase its safer and in general benifits society. the tank has a turbine engine because it needs the power to move its huge bulk. if the tank weighed 2500lbs it would have a 150hp inline 4.
No, innovative things are reffered to as innovative, like the lightbulb, or internal combustion. a jet turbine in a car is nothing more than a grossly overpowered car, not innovative.

My point I’m trying to make is that the line where “pointless vs innovative” is variable. Some could say that F1 racing is pointless, as they are high powered cars as well. I stand by my point, but I also see that where you draw the line and where I draw the line on this continuum are different.
