Decisions, decisions... (Opinions needed ITT)

Or you could just use self control and not modify it, I know that’s a tricky one.

New 750 is like 100K… :rofl

You should know me better than that.

Leasing is an option.

true, your last name isnt McGrath… :ponder

A lease would keep you from heavily modifying. Might be a good option

Werd.
The only thing that sucks is not building any sort of equity with it.

+1… exactly what I thought of

But what’s the point of building “equity” in a depreciating asset when you can just lease it?

If the depreciation is bad, leasing can be better over a shorter term such as 24,36 months, esp. when you have these $0 down deals.

One other great option to consider if your credit is good- do a lease takeover on a nice vehicle. This way, the original lessee is the one who is out the big DP and then just transfers it to you for what usually is payments only for an even shorter period (like less than 24 months even)…

Makes a lot of sense if the lease payments x term length (simplified I know) comes out to less than what the vehicle would depreciate if you owned it outright. All without the hassle of having to sell it later and stuff…

Flip side is, if you’re going to be keeping the vehicle for longer than three years, just buy it. But make sure you KEEP it or you may have been better off leasing it. The key is to make a plan and stick to it.

Do you realize who you’re talking to, Archie?
I almost have more failed project threads than Vlad.

Sorry man, I don’t know you well so I guess I was giving you the benefit of the doubt?!

More unfinished business than V himself? Heady stuff…

Cossey… you ever think about leasing some cars? If your just going to write off the payment then your really not losing anything and you just have a new car all the time. The other thing is that you can lease a few cars and if you do really like one you just buy it.

(post not directed at Cossey, just in general)

It took me until my late twenties to realize that the owner of a high performance, weekend only sports car should not have a payment on a daily driver also. I justified it in my early 20’s…then I woke up.

Cossey is above logic.

New Acura RDX w/tech package. AWD, navigation, Turbo 240hp or so and all for under 40k

Trucks suck if you are used to cars that are somewhat light and nimble. Everytime I drive a full size truck I can’t wait to get back into a car that brakes and handles well. Its nice to relax and cruise around but for those that like “driving” then its not a very enjoyable daily.

HUGE +1, That was a major factor in me getting rid of my truck.

you fucking guys… i used to bounce through traffic in my F250 same as I did with my Integra. Ask the wife, she used to bitch all the time.

My brother drives his Ram 2500 like a fucking sports car. I cant believe the way he throws that thing around in traffic and on the highway.

Lately every time I get into a smaller car I cant wait to get into my truck. I had to drive my dad’s Focus to work a few weeks ago and couldnt stand being in it. Kinda surprising considering I went from a small car to the truck.
