Did you disconnect the ground cable from the battery when you were
fiddling with your headunit? If not, check all the fusess to make sure you
didn’t blow anything.

If no fuses are blown, then check each and every connection.

Answer these and I will fix your problem…

What was wrong with your deck?

None of the Speakers work?

Do you have the factory “Premium Sound” system?

Did you connect the factory amp turn on lead?

What Deck do you have?

Did you short out any of the Speaker Wires on the Deck?
(Purple,Green,Grey,White)

I blew a couple fuses when I was fiddling around with the deck. Thought I had fixed the fuse but it was 2 not just one. And I had a wire connected wrong. Fixed all those. Deck runs and now I have no sound. No I didn’t disconnect the ground when working on the deck. The factory amp turn on lead??? I am pretty sure I have the premium system. How can I tell if I shorted out any of the wires?

Are you using an Adapter Harness or did you cut and splice?

adapter harness

make sure the blue/white wire on the back of the deck is connected to the blue white on the harnes.

Other than that I would have to say you blew the internal amp on the deck.

Very Eeasy to do if you don’t know what you are doing.

I have had many customers come in with this isssue…

Bench Test the Deck…

Hook it up to a 12v source and hook it up to a speaker.

ok now. I got the deck hooked up and still no sound. Thought it was the internal amp until I tried another deck and still nothing. Any easy way of goin about figuring out what is wrong with the electrical? Please help.

Take a 9v battery, hold the negative lead of one speaker to the negative side
of the battery and tap the positive side of that same speaker to the positive
side of the battery. If it pops all the connections are good and the speaker is fine.

Repeat for all 4 speakers.

Ok, so i tried that and none popped. :? What do I do now.

if none poped u must still hav those amps, it’s really friggin hard to kill the wiring to all 4 speakers lol , why not just pay me to fix it  i also work as an installer at best buy like adam.

All I needed to do was put my 6.5’s in. Its fine now. But my mounts aren’t. LOL I’d suggest use someothing other then plywood for ur mounts.
