The rail does more damage than you think. The inside of the wheel is what is most likely getting scraped along the rail.
I’ve got 315/35/20’s on my sloblu suv and have had no issues at delta.
I made it thru once with my truck 35x12.5x18s but then the second time the girl wouldn’t allow me and couldn’t figure out how I went thru the first time. I believe I took my car once 315/35/17 tires.
ive had quite bad luck with delta sonic and my car. deff have had the rail damage the wheels which arent very wide (205/45/16) and my car wouldn’t be considered slammed by any means and ive heard various things hit the rack. gotta go to touch less washes for my setup
Mine are lil bigger. Come to a 325 50 15. They just squueze in the track but I have sidewall.
never took my bmw through a delta as it was too low, however i have taken the ram through one. 275/60/20.
as long as you have some sort of sidewall that comes out past the rim youll be fine.
here, do a test. unbolt a wheel and go to your garage floor. drop the wheel on its side face down. if you hear any thumping other then rubber when it hits the ground or if its scraped up, then you probably shouldnt take the car through a delta sonic.
I just signed up for the unlimited washes. $24 bucks a month, can’t go wrong at least for the winter months, then probably cancel come spring.
^ That’s how much it would cost you to get it sprayed at Carwell…
Wash it after the snow…thaws(?).
i decided to try your theory this year on the new truck…kinda.
got the carwell done and every couple weeks or so i do a basic wash that doesnt get the underside. havent had much slop or salt yet but the underside is still nice and covered in oil lol.
See underneath my car there are plastic panels covering everthing basically. Plastic panels covering plastic lines and etc. Not really much to “rust” under there so it seems at least other than your typical hardware.
yeah, thats how my bmw was. yet on the “frame” section where the jack points were, i had to plate because they were rotting and crushed in when i jacked up the car. the salt got into the crevices and it rotted from the inside out. rest of the car looked great but its all the crevices that the shit gets into and destroys…
Well knowing how I am, I probably won’t keep the car for another year lol.
a chooch?
