Depew Cell phone ticket

a co worker here got a cell phone ticket… does insurance go up for this? i dont htink so seeing as its a non moving violation…

also does anybody know how depew handles them? ie do the punt them down to parking tickets and 50 dollar fines for 24 year old peopel with a clean driving record?

i know my aunt got a cell phone ticket in depew and it was like $175

I got one on the thruway in cheektowaga and thought the fine would be like 50 bucks…NOPE $155.00

i don’t believe it is considered a moving violation so you don’t have to worry about points or insurance. it’s just gonna be a monetary punishment.
