diesel in a gas engine?

hmm, didn’t realize they’d adapted 4-strokes to work tilted to the sides.

the fuel system needs to be taken apart and clean. even if it gets through the pump it will clogg destroy the injectors. it will hydrolock a motor. it is possible she did grenade the motor. however in my 10 plus years in this industry I have learned two things. never listen to a tow truck driver, and never let him work on a vehicle.

Not true. Lots of newer stuff like weedeaters are going with a 4 stroke running premix. In fact, I just bought one over the weekend. Stihl FS90R. Still need to run premix, since there is no oiling system.

What about a boxer motor?

I’m sure meant the engine as a whole, not just the cylinder configuration. As a whole, wet sump engines can’t be tilted too far in any direction…

True…

what about like ultra light planes?

Wow - thread from the dead…

And FWIW - last week I filled my Cadillac with diesel, and got some weird looks.

Yea this is what I meant

Diesel is measured in cetane and not octane. There is a reason for that.
