Dish Network and startup costs...

The reason Dish Builder won’t let you do what your trying to do is because Dish will only lease you up to four tuners. The 722 counts as two, the 222 counts as two, and the 311 counts as one. Thats five total.

Dish does have a new receiver known as the 612. Its an HD DVR for one TV, and still allows you to record one thing and watch another. Even though it is a dual tuner receiver, Dish only counts it as one in terms of the leased equipment. (It does only give you 200 record hours, but you could have two of them!!)

The Dish Builder probably won’t let you do this either but I’m pretty sure you could get two 612 receivers and a 722 or 222 receiver or a 322 (depending on how many HD TVs you have total.) That right there gives you 4 tuners (actually 6 total!)

As far as pricing goes, it would be $119 for the package you selected, $5 for each receiver over 1 (rec lease fee, so assuming you go with a 222 and 2 612’s it would be $10), and if you don’t have a home phone, there is a $5 charge for each dual tuner (722,222,322) not connected to a phone line. The 612 doesn’t have that charge. If you have a home phone, no worries. Or if you connect ethernet to the 722 or 222 it works that way too.

So your looking at about $129 a month with all HDs, locals, Top 250 and all four movie packs.

There is a $49 activation fee but I can take care of that for you.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
