Has anyone ever used these with a MIG welder?

It says that you do not need weld rod, but I have a wire feeder that I could upgrade to MIG if required… I would imagine these are designed for TIG?

Any thoughts.

If I can manage to get the exhaust on my car done, I may want to do one for the bike as well.

they are aluminum. While there are aluminum kits for mig welders, it is an uncommon practice to use a MIG welder for aluminum. Aluminum is almost always welded with a TIG welder.

My understanding is that Aluminum does not play nice with steel…

Looks like they do not have 2.5" anyway…
But I may want to scrap my old turbo header for the flanges and make a new 4-1 header. That might let me use some.

you want to weld the aluminum to steel?

where do you see that they are alum?

i watched them use these on hot rod TV over the weekend, and they migged the header tubes just fine… from what i saw in the show, they were mild steel…

why would you need 2.5" ? these are for aligning header primarty tubes… you dont have 2.5" primary tubes on your header…

and you dont need these to weld up an exhaust at all…

yeah, you’re right. I am retarded. Carry on.

My header would not be 2.5", but the remainder would be.

I have never tried to weld anything and figured it might make the task a little easier. I’m not looking forward to running the pipe up and over my rear twist beam.

If You paint Aluminized or Mild Steel exhaust pipe, will it last a year or two longer?
