we used a craftsman wire-feed welder with mig flux-core. the turbo and wastegate have been hanging freely off the adapter i made for over a week and no problems so far, but ill keep an eye on it for a while and see what i can do if it breaks, im out of time and money at this point and still waiting on my MAF from some idiot in NC who charged me $22 for 2day shipping, recieved my money last friday or saturday, and is just sending it out today…nice huh?

no way, i was waiting on a part, and the only guy that carries them says the batch he just got arent working correctly, and offered me a different solution, which is kinda similar but now i would need another stock maf, and my easier/cheaper route would be to get my money back and get a mustang gt maf instead, but thats looking at two more weeks without the car, so i dont know what im gonna do…i made the downpipe, but some of the weld and pipe get in the way of the mounting bolts, now all i have to do is grind some clearance and widen the mounting holes a bit, install the gaskets, and re-mount the front clip, other than that just waiting on a god-dam MAF solution

finished it tonight, fuckin spools hard i love it, just needs tunning adjustments cause if i go WOT it bucks…im still on the base tune though…its awesome…right duece??

i know, also cracked a weld…the one holding the WG to the collector, that was my first weld EVAR, the one i learned with lol, oops lesson learned, all the rest holdin strong
u got balls doing ur first weld on YOUR CAR… geez… not bad at all for the first time tho. u shoulda practiced on some scrap or something…
funny story:
when i was first learning to weld (at work) i was using an automatic mask. its set at #4 when its off, and #14 when its on all the way. anyways… i didn’t know u had to turn the mask ONNNN first. so, long story short, i welded for an hr straight with only basically sunglasses protecting me. no wonder i couldnt see this “so called puddle” :snky: so…all the guys at work are like ooo man… warning me… “ur gona wake up in the middle of the night and its gona feel like ur getting sand whipped in ur eyes…” i was so afraid to go to sleep. went to my eye doctor… all he could do was gimme eye drops… went to sleep… NOTHING HAPPENED… o hells ya. im the chosen one.
