Enjoy guys:
Wow!! I will be there next year for sure!! (Probably not contending, but to spectate for sure!
What a superbe video!!
There is no reason why you shouldnt participate in this tire shredding madness THEO…no excuses…just make sure u have 6pt roll cage for 2006. New rules
Well, that is not going to happen. I won’t cut her up to instal a roll cage.
Let me know if you need a crew in the pits though, I would be more than happy to help you with that.
The S14 belongs to the track…I running stock and have beat the shit outta it…Im very surprised at what the car can handle from factory…do ujr baby the justice and let her have fun. Its worth it trust me
You’ve seen me beat the snot out of her at the track, so you know I do and I will continue to do so.
It’s not the beatings, just the; drilling holes or welding, pain in the butt to get in and out (legs), heat score factor, etc…
Although it would increase the structural integrity of the car, I just couldn’t do that to her. Maybe if I get an s13 that might happen.
u need a 6-point for 2006 Kendrick?
Andrew
What material and tubing thichkness and diameter is required?
^^ what he said
Nize vid too 8)
awesome vid

I would assume same rules for roll cages as FD
Kendrick they arn’t going to adopt the formula D rules I hope. Noone but the rich will be able to afford to pass tech.
Andrew.
Not sure whats happening yet but I want to make sure I can run FD if want to
that is where alot of the rules for lesser leagues will come from and rightly so.
if it is going to take off at all in Ontario it has to become alot safer and more serious whihc means heavy safety regulations.
that is in the best interest of everyone anyways.
and making it expensive to meet them will keep out alot of younger people who probably shouldnt be doing it anyways.
having been to drift mania i am really surprised that some people were allowed to be on the track. i am certainly not that good and alot of people were alot worse than i, that makes for one really friggin dangerous event,

Good points Bing, but it is getting rid of the fun factor too soon. It seems to me they are going to kill some of the good old grassroots factor. Obviously QC already has drifting established, but for Joe Schmo who was drifting for the fun of it, he’s now going to have to build a purpose track car because cages are illegal on the road. What does that also mean? He will need a trailer, and a truck to tow it with. More money that he may not have. Not everyone who can’t afford it doesn’t deserve not to be a part of it.
I, for one, have no career right now, and am sliding because of how accessible and fun it is. It should be a sport that just about anyone can do. I love to see how it has exploded, but to turn it into the next Nascar would suck. If we can keep it like things seem to be in the States, we can keep it alive. We’ve got to start off with little events, a la DG Trials or Drift Days before stepping up to Formula D standards.
Just ask if you need some explanation, I kinda just spewed that all out without thinking…
Ill be there next year to debut a new shop car. In the mean time, im looking for a driver (maybe me)
BTW, great video and its nice to see such a turn-out at a Canadian event.
