the whole point of riding is to enjoy the road not the music if you want to listen to music drive your car
Ya. iPhone in the arm pocket or inside pocket. Also found out that when I am idle I can answer using the iPhone headphones/microphone and people can head me ok with a helmet on.
I enjoy it when I am siting in traffic or on my way home and just relaxing and cruising on the highway. When I am in the zone or out to corner or something I can not hear it and focused on other things like not dying.
Completely false sir!
The point of riding is to slow look lean roll ??? profit while listening to TI on Dan Kraft’s motorcycle mix.
I listen to the bike, cars, and whatever other ambient noise I hear through my ear plugs.
phish and oysterhead. head phones are taped inside my helmet so they’re a near permanent fixture. always ride with tunes. just have em low enough to tell willybeen hes a queer at stop lights.
There is an itrip device much like you use in the car that you plug into the ipod and then there is an ipod control on a arm band type deal that you can wear on the outside of your jacket to control it…all wireless…so i just use my skullcandy ear buds with my ipod inside my jacket pocket with the wireless itrip to i can control everything on my arm…its nice…like having the ipod strapped to your arm but dont have to worry about the wires
lol + 1
i used to have that problem…the skullcandy ones work well…sony also has a nice set that has the ear wrap arounds…they stay in really well also, both sets are under 20 bucks
I use the ink’d earbuds at the gym… love those
Just the sound of a V8 between the knees… that and whatever I’m riding next to, be it a custom chopper or an R6…
I would listen to my ipod and run the wire under my shirt. I never where a full helmit, just a half clam deal and if its not music in my ears its my loud pipes and extremely abnoxious wind noise. You guys on your rockets have windscreens and aerodynamics to eliminate wind noise, but when i was on my cruiser it was bugs in the teeth and watery eyes.
Almost always had my iPod when I ride to work/school, but that was all highway routes.
If I go for a random cruise I bring it half the time. I do enjoy clearing my head and simply thinking while riding though as well. Just really depends on what mood I’m in.
One thing I learned quickly is to make mellow playlists. Nobody wants a hero flying by at 150 listening to disturbed siqqqqqqqqqqq
(disclaimer, I do not listen to disturbed, sorry Jeg)
You really can’t focus enough to enjoy both?
+1
Most of the time I dont even like listening to my ipod while snow boarding.
ipod touch w/ earbuds never had a problem and like someone said, it gets u in the mood to ride
If I don’t have music on my mind wanders and then I don’t pay attention. I can sing in my helmet, no one is the wiser, and I’m still paying attention.
I almost always have music on :)…
mp3 player with headphones.
when i do this and metalica comes on i find my self speeding excessively
meh. maybe this year i’ll give it a shot. i guess as long as it’s not deafeningly loud, it would be kinda nice to have chill music for a relaxing ride
see i kinda dont understand this, when im in my car cruisin ta tunes its loud enuff that other people cant hear it, but i cant hear outside my car or myself scream, and thats only on vol. 18/40, anything passed 20 hurts my ears
so basically if you drive around in a car with the music loud enuff you cant hear an ambulance coming whats the diff on a bike
the only diff on a bike is if sumone hits you cause you cant hear them, youll probably die instead of just being injured
