Dodge Viper is DONE... came back... died again... back AGAIN

 Point taken.

I know you said you’re done Jam, but you do know that Holden is just GM’s australian division, right? Not a different car company? It’s no different from building a Honda in the United States and calling it an Acura when people think it should be made in Japan and called a Honda Integra.

 must suck to not have a clue lol…

The GTO is actually made pretty well and while I’ll admit it’s not the hottest car on the road, it’s a nice daily driver with some performance. It’s a lot of car for the money. I had to buy a car that was more daily driver friendly then my little s2000 and the car has been very enjoyable so far. I have no bias one way or the other on imports vs domestics because both have great offerings and I have found enjoyment in both, but it’s too bad that some people just speak out of their ass about things they have no clue about.

I thought that is what you are supposed to do on nyspeed :mamoru:

You know the CTS-V is a much better value than the Viper… I don’t see why everyone doesn’t just get CTS-Vs instead

:deadhorse:

Time for some new materal.

Even a Dead CTS-V would be better than that horse

 my bad

People are so dumb…

Imports are not the shit. They do have some nice stuff but so does USA.

i simply laugh…humpers will be humpers.

According to The Detroit News, most of the rumors we’ve been hearing about the next Dodge Viper aren’t true. The meanest of the Dodge models won’t be riding on a modified Alfa Romeo or Ferrari platform when it bows anew in 2012 as a 2013 model. The Pentastar has said while there may be some similarities to the 8C Competizione, the Viper will make use of entirely unique underpinnings and will carry significantly different proportions compared to the Italians. Part of that means doing away with the snake’s iconic long hood in favor of a design with a little more balance.

What’s more, Dodge head Ralph Giles tells the Detroit daily that the Mopar supercar won’t utilize a Ferrari engine for its power, though he stopped short of saying whether or not the old 640 horsepower V10 will survive the vehicle’s rebirth. That means that a new lump may surface, though the number of cylinders and how much horsepower it will produce remain a mystery. Thanks for the tip, Prhime.

theres so much speculation going on, according to postings from that site it will still be easily recognized as a viper

Awesome news.

Side note, Ralph Gilles is an awesome dude. I’ve met him a few times as I have friends that work for him. He also tracks a Viper regularily:tup:

Holy Bunch Of Bullshit Batman.

Ralph already confirmed that it WILL have a long hood and rearward-cabin configuration similar to the current/past models, it WILL have V-10 based on the current engine- most likely direct injected and about 700 horsepower, and looks like a combination of the GTS and SRT designs with a few new twists. I swear these people just make this shit up as they go along.

April 15, 2011 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - The long, cold and snowy winter presented a perfect environment for the ultimate American-built sports car and icon of the Dodge brand’s performance car lineup to prepare for its imminent return. Using a 2010 chassis as a test subject, SRT engineers expanded the development scope for the next generation Dodge Viper to include stability control tuning for the first time. The development comes just in time for the next “Super Car Olympics,” sure to take place late in 2012 when the all-new performance icon returns.

I hope that’s not a pic of what it will look like, I don’t know if I missed it in the article

Said they were testing on a 2010 chassis, so im pretty sure that’s not what it’ll look like

that a cable for the block heater?

Was not sure where else to put this:

The Competition crate engine – hand-built and ordered up as Part Number P5144872 – offers a staggering 800 horsepower and 695 lb-ft of torque. Mind you, that’s coming out of 512 cubic inches (8.4 liters) of displacement, which is staggering in and of itself, but amounts to 95 horsepower per liter. Which is a lot, but not by racing standards.

When there are a million auto blogs you gotta repackage the same information or flat out make shit up to be noticed.
