Does the water pump have a drain plug? What's this hole?

I just started leaking coolant, and traced the source to here (see pics) What is it? How do I fix it?

weep hole.

means the pump is on its way out… internal seals are fuxored.

If it serves the same function as it does on several other vehicles, then it looks to be the seap hole.

Notifying you that the shaft seal is torn and the waterpump needs to be replaced.

I had the same situation on a friends mustang.

I thought it might be a drain hole for a leaky internal seal… thanks guys. Looks like a new pump for me.

Well it doesn’t automatically mean the bearings or fins are toast, but it does mean the seals are starting to go.

Best bet would be, like you said, to get it changed.

Well the car is overheating and once it gets warm, it’s a very fast drip, almost a steady stream.

I have a water pump u can have $30 Brand new.

same shit happened to me 2 monthes ago, needs to be changed
