Scam. I have also gotten this email before.
regardless of what anyone tells you, it’s a scam. No matter how many “secure third parties” he claims to want to use or “secured checks” etc etc… it’s a scam. Cash, or no deal.
Well, you can make the deal, but I don’t want to see a “I THINK I GOT SCAMMED” thread in 6 days.
stop posting in here before you actually convince this kid you might have some kind of clue what you’re talking about.
This one of the most common scams around today. You DON’T have to have a fucking penny to get a money order if it’s counterfeit, which this one is.
You CAN (and the OP surely will if he decided to go through with this) have the money taken back out of your account in ~1 week when they realize it’s fake. Yes, it takes that long. And yes, they CAN and WILL take it back immediately… if you take all of the money out of your account, and have $0 in it, you will have a negative balance of whatever the amount of the cashiers check/certified check was, and you will be fucked for the money. At this point your only hope of not getting double-fucked is that you didn’t spend it yet and can put it back into your account.
I figured it was a scam.Usually its easy to tell, this one almost seemed real.Sorry i couldnt post sooner, the thread was moved and i couldnt find it.I ended up deleting the email.
Definitly a scam, I got the SAME EXACT EMAIL man…reportt it on Craigslist, i did!
I get that email all the time when I sell cheap items like computer parts.
Just the language alone gives it away. People from buffalo do not talk like this.
I say scam…the first email he sent you was very generic and then the 2nd one was waaaay too “proper”, it doesn’t even seem like the same person lol
