need help scamming a scammer

I posted my DD car on auto-trader and got an email from someone intrested and sent back the info they requested. I just recieved this from him/them

Hello Steve,

Yes we are really interested, I have forwarded the vehicle information to my client and after evaluation he agreed on the price $8,000 and due to time constraint on the fact that we are running short of time, I’m delighted to inform you that my client has recommended your property with full interest and has
instructed me to carry on with this transaction.

We have concluded to made out a payment in a Cashiers Check amount of $12,300 So you are required to deduct $8,000 for payment of the vehicle Which will prove to you that we’re really serious with interest to make the deal and you will refund remaining balance $4,300 to our Agent (The shipper) for him to be able to offset shipping & tax charges and other cosmetic repair costs.

After payment has reached you and balance sent to shipper, my customer will come with the shipper’s agent for inspection, picking up & signing of title papers, make some cosmetic touches and drive to a prepaid shipper to be shipped to my customer’s destination.

We really need your co-operation,truth & honesty with definite assurance with this fund and that the balance will honestly be send to our shipper when payment gets to you as we made this alternative arrangement not to stress you for shipment.

Please confirm these and provide the following for the payment to be made and send to you.

LEGAL NAME:…
VALID ADDRESS:…
TELEPHONE:…
CELLPHONE:…

Your Honesty and understanding will be highly appreciated
Best-regards,

SMITH …

give me some ideas to screw with them. I want to make them think I’m retarded enough to fall for it and willing to do what they say. I’d atleast like to make them spend a few $$$ in the process lol

any ideas?

Tell him you need a 300 paypal transfer before you cash the check

That might work, maybe they’ll think if they sed you $300 they’ll still make $4000. Worth a shot.

just get the check and have it framed…then when it comes in…be like “I work for bank security, blah blah, fake check, blah blah, so and so informed, etc… etc…”

Go through with it, but have 2 On Your Side there when you go to meet for the transaction.

Paintball the fcuk out of them when they show up.

Go through with it for fun, everything up to the point of showing up with their refund check, just for fun.

or just get teh check…take it to a bank and have it verified

no one actually shows up…they mail you the check…then you mail the “shipper” the remainder then wait for them to come and check out the car

they never show and the original check you deposited bounces but the one you wrote clears before hand

Send them Monopoly money for the difference.

Apply the seller scam to him. Tell him you are selling the car on behalf of someone and that lives in <insert country here>. See if they are smart enough to recoginize their own scams.

lol I’m gonna play along. I’ll tell 'em that I need $XXX.XX amount upfront to ready the car for sale and delivery along with fees associated with transfering the title and to show that he has good intentions. Once I get the check and cash it, I’ll tell him to proceed as normal so I can frame the fake casheers check lol

Just got to make sure to play it stupid/ignorant (I’ve never really used the internal net) so he doesn’t catch on. I’ll tell him that my grandson helped me post the add

LOL…my dad did that a few months ago when he sold the RSX… it was fucking with them…and told them to send the check, then took it to the bank and had them look at it

good times

Man, the scammers showed no love for the Fiero when I sold that on autotrader.

I say just have them send you the fake check, then turn it and any emails/info over to the news and let them run with it.

 holy man…mimicking 419 scam in car ads…

i’d say, tell that guy to send a picture of him doing this:

for more ideas for scamming scammers,
go to www.419eater.com

fvck scammer!

ps. im not a racist. these pictures are nigerian 419 scammers who got scammed back! read the site for detail.

1)seal deal w/ 419’er
2)at the last moment, tell them of mechanical probs
3)explain that its already in the shop, repair costs $200 and you dont have the cash
4) instruct them to send $200 in currency in teh same envelope as the check, as said shop only accepts cash, and your currently broke, hence the reason your selling the car
5) inform them that the $ will be used for the immediate retrievel of THEIR vehical from repair shop, and will be immediatly ready for transport
6) take money, frame fake check, use $ to drink beer & laugh

If you scam a scammer that does not make you a scammer. You’d only be a scammer if you scammed non-scammers,since you’re scamming a scammer because he’s trying to scam you, then its the right thing to do.

lmao at that plan…

id depends who’s doing the 419 scam though…
well, most of em are stupid anyway…so it’s worth trying…

one of many scams i received for my stuff @ craigslist…
