Door lock replacement troubles

I’m trying to replace the door lock cylinder on my S14,
everything was going fine but when I looked at the original door lock cylinder vs replacement cylinder,
the original cylinder had a sort of extension bracket with a hole in it to bolt to the door handle.

The replacement cylinder didn’t come with it, I tried to take apart the original cylinder but it doesn’t look like it was meant to be taken apart?

you take the lil clip off the end of the shaft, then transfer the little bracket onto new clylinder. Use pliers carefully press the clip back into place, to hold on bracket. voila
