Dougiefresh's 03 Mustang 3.8L (T) to pass inspection or not to pass

well i got a 2003 mustang and i started off with the most common mods i think

CAI and exhaust that was cool and all but just so normal in my area (philly)

not long after i got the car the tail lights started leaking so i got some nice ones on ebay for 25 bucks and another 25 bucks shipping. i got them just because they were flat not rippled like the stock ones… then tinted

after that and some other light apperance mods i started going to car shows with my old car club … i was fun but money+theifs= no more car club i left

i think that was my 1st but in 2005 i got 4 trophies out of maybe 15-20 shows i went to. but keep in mind my car was basicly stock compaired to what i was up against but i can clean my car very very well

after the car show stuff i got some projector headlights because i like the way they look… mustang crowd looks down on me but its what i like really.

after that i started to think how i can get something i wanted so bad on my car i always wanted… a TURBO. i am sorry if i offend anybody but 99% of cars that come with turbos in them are just not for me i dont like them… any of them… just a buick grand national. and nope not even fox body mustangs with 2.3L T so after years of drolling over TMA turbo’s kit i made a goal and sure enough i saved up all the money i needed and bought the kit

before i strike you guys in shock i really wanted to install the kit my self so along with my buddy joe and his parents were nice enough to let us use his garage for a week!!! we did it and i must say it was fairly easy.

after i installed the kit i enjoyed it for about 2 months then i had to move here to Sarver PA! and while driveing my car to this wonderful town on the PA turnpike somebody droped there spare tire for me to hit and my car was in the body shop at nick’s for about a month.

after i pass inspection the newest mods will be injectors, fuel pump and maf and a new wastegate spring for 11 psi (atm i am running 5 psi)

sarver huh i live right down the road from saxonburg i take it you dont drive it in the winter cause i havnt seen you runnin around

badass, I like your style on that car w/ the headlights. Let see some pics of the V6-T. What kind of numbers are you putting down?

i just got my car back a weekago and i have no inspection stickers on my windsheild lol but i have no choise but to drive it since it is the only car i own

Neat car man …

But not to be mean, thats the worst kit i have ever seen. Its gonna melt all your shit (hoses, belts). Go out NOW and get header wrap for the dp and if its a real gt40 then its a t4 housing and they make neat turbine heat wraps for it. That stuff will save you major headache later… I am guessing its top mount so it is a real neat setup it just was not thought out the best way.

But :bigthumb: for a mustang owner being different

wow a GT40 is it a ball bearing turbo or standard bearing? that is a large turbo. what about the internals built or stock? i am assuming stock due to the low boost level. your not even spinnin that bad boy. she dont even get in her efficiency range till 35+ psi. baadass shit man

stock internals for now… money is a problem atm i just moved out here and im still job hunting so its staying at 5 psi untill i get some fuel stuff i can bump it up to 11-12 psi where it will stay untill i build up the motor and start pushing some serious boost

Is it an auto?

yeah auto i cant stand manual its annoying

Im interested to see how that auto is gonna hold up once you really start boosting.
