Has anyone ever had this problem? I have a s14 and whenever I let off the gas in 3rd or 4th at like 3500-4500 rpm my drive line/rear end vibrates any clue as what could cause this annoying vibration.
You Need to include more info…
Did you recently swap motors, Auto or 5 speed, any suspension mods? aftermarket wheels/rubber/ have you not got an alignment.
i switched out the rear sub frame bushings, but vibration was there already i dont know if it worsened it, its 5 speed, alignment has been done already and is fine
is anything loose? is your driveshaft bearing shot? what about wheel bearings? just check all the moving components
if you have an after market clutch especially a puck style i could be clutch chatter your hearing. happens on decel with puck clutches.
sorry i have oem clutch, i was researching and some people have said it may be caused by the trans mount so i just bought a megan trans mount, hopefully it solves it.
i have a stage 5 4 puck clutch and exedy light weight fly wheel i get the same thing only in 4th gear, getting a one piece allum drive shaft put in, hopefully it will solve my noise, also solid aluminum diff bushings
I had what you are describing, but I knew my carriage bearing and possibly my u-joints were shot. Instead of replacing them, I spent the money on a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft and the problem was instantly gone! I have used both the aluminum and the steel 1 pc driveshafts, and the aluminum is DEFINITELY better in terms of no vibration at speed.
Did u guys buy these shafts from someone on son or ordered the from a shop?
I don’t think bing has driveshafts. I got mine from z1motorsports.com . Good ppl to deal with. Speedy shipping.
Varun can get you one from the driveshaft shop. I have a 1pc aluminum one but I still get vibrations on decel mainly only in 4th. I figured it’s a combination of sporty things, clutch bushing’s multi link all that stuff is not oem ride quality. You’ll learn to like it or just switch to 5th when going down a hill.
