Driving from Buffalo to VA; which of these 3 routes?

none of them stay home

Drive through the middle of the night, like 10pm-7ish am, this way traffic doesn’t pwn you.

X…

Stay as far away from 95 as possible. Holy speed trap and if it’s not a speed trap you will be sitting in traffic for 2 hours.

95 wasn’t bad. did see a few cops shooting radar, but I was forewarned by the v1.

A radar detector ticket is only $100, likely much less than a speeding ticket. i got hit with radar a few times and wasn’t pulled over, they must not have radar detector detectors or whatever like in ontario

+1 but of course I am a few days late for my offering

15ftw, all the rest suck. And of course NEVER hit the cap beltway as it is backed up 24/7

When I come back and fourth from Myrtle Beach, I go through Darien Center, Warsaw, Mt Morris, get on the 390 go through Corning take 15 through Harrisburg and pick up 270 north of DC then get on 495 to go around dc and then pick up 95. 900 mile and takes me 12 1/2-13 1/2 hours. Leave around 10pm get through DC around 4am and you’ll be fine. I’ve driven this so many times I don’t even take a GPS or a map anymore

Don’t speed in Southern PA and don’t speed in northern or southern VA, Richmond area isn’t bad. Good Luck

This is the worst route ever… well up unto you said get on 495. 495 is the biggest parking lot ever for 18 hours a day…

Last time I drove down from 79 got me to NOVA in about 7 1/2 hrs. Its an easy ride and you can maintain a decent clip on the highway. Depending on the day and time, 66 can be bad but going east is fine later in the day. Your big hurdle will be 95S, usually heavy traffic, but if you hit rush hour go ahead and add 4 hours to your trip.

pretty sure v1 has vg2 protection… shouldnt be an issue

rode a 929 to near the outer banks and back today (well, rode that 600rr for a portion of the ride back). good time

I wish i had curves… lol. I rode to barnes and noble today. :ugh:

929 had a ton of rattles, wasn’t as comfortable as more modern bikes. brakes sucked. however it did stay super planted in corners, which I really liked.

then I got on my buddy’s 600rr. it was so much more flickable, responded so much more strongly to minute steering inputs. it took me a second to get used to the power band of a 600 again. i liked it a bit better for carrying speed in certain turns, as it was easier to use the throttle to regulate power after the apex.

fun day for sure. the others were a bit bewildered when I showed up in a suit and they just had jackets, but it was definitely nice having full gear. boots are so comfy, stiffness of the suit kind of helps me keep my posture, and I REALLY like how much safer I feel in full gear

 my 954 was a fun bike… pics?

i went to that shoneys. the people were nice but the water was real cloudy and tasted like shit. tasted like well water

you gotta get sweet tea son

Just got an apartment in ghent, its like the allentown of Norfolk

Hows the weather

heard you guys got some rain

sucked. 75mph winds, so much shit was flooded in norfolk. we were the only house on the block with power. between my buddy, his girl an I we had 6 cars to move away from trees, and 2 bikes to hurriedly get in the garage.

hopefully we can find some hydrolocked bimmers to fix and flip
