DRL question

Man, if you lived in Florida for the past 10 years, you would want to leave too! I came down here from New York in 1994. Florida is the third-world of the U.S. It’s a great place to vacation, but a crappy place to live. I’d much rather shovel snow than shovel B.S. any day! Although come December, I’m sure I’ll be crying for bullshit.

You’re right - my ride doesn’t have LSD. As soon as you mentioned that and the road salt, I thought twice about the all-season tires. I think I’ll just throw it in storage for the winters! Rust isn’t exactly my favorite color, you know what I’m saying? Green is definitely much more appealing.

Is there an easy way to install Daytime Running Lights? Can I just jump two wires in my fuse panel, or is that a bonehead move? I want to have a kill switch so that I have the option of turning them off 8)

Here’s a pic of my ride:

I don’t think DRLs are an “easy” install. There’s some wiring involved with the parking brake, probably a resistor… it can be done for sure, but I think you’d need to talk to an electrician to get the wiring and switches done properly.

Why do you say Florida is third world? I know the heat and humidity get oppressive but…

If you want the DRLs to function exactly like stock you’d have a problem. (Although no resistors  )

But if you want to just have them go on and off with the car no harder then wiring up a set of fog lights. 1 relay, 1 switch, some wires.
