That is awesome, i wonder how ahrd it is to give the end user control of the camera
I haven’t looked into it a ton but from what I know about how the insta360’s work is they record the full 360 degree view at all times. Then you use their software to produce it picking the default view you want and once you publish it to Youtube the viewer can choose to pause and look around or look around while the video is playing at any point in the video.
As usual. There are no original ideas.
I did have a thought where the drone scans the place so it could build a VR replica, then consumer could do whatever they wanted. The down side, is it would be impossible to hide all the fun shit hacks like me do with DIY reno
New plan:
Youtube site where you fly into strangers homes with a disposable drone and chase them around their own houses looking for a secondary escape route. If none is found, the homeowner wins a free drone w/o controller.
Printed on the drone are the T’s&C’s where they give up all rights to privacy and the video by looking at or touching it.
Just needs a catchy name and a few fake ‘random’ homeowners to try and catch it.
lol Drake with the shoe throw
At the big races I do at UMI Motorsports Park they have a professional drone guy. He goes by AerialJimPA. The police use him all the time to help find seniors that go out and get lost. Here’s a vid of a shootout run. Obviously there’s no audio.
That looks fun.
Too bad you can’t sync up your dash cam audio.
Or probably not easily anyway.
Man, I should show up to a WNY SCCA event and see if they’d let me do that. If you’ve seen my drone vids over in the drone thread you know I could hang WAY closer than that. Shit, I’ll fly through your open window.
SCCA says NO! You’ll never see a drone at an SCCA event, because they are 30 years back in time, and run by a bunch of old men. Not to mention that you can’t fly them next to the Bills stadium I believe. The NFL has rules about that as well. It’s been discussed hundreds of times, and would make amazing footage, but the powers at the top suck.
