I was impatient and didn’t want to wait to find a 6 speed TDI and I am/have been the type of person to say I’d never own an automatic. Regardless, the more I drive the DSG the more I love it! It does not replace a manual and if they had one in stock I would have bought the 6 speed however this thing has really grown on me and I am very happy with it.
Here are a few cool videos comparing the two transmission.

i told you the DSG was sweet.
There fun to drive, but on the same note, they can take the fun out of driving too. There’s both great in their own respects IMO.
I’ve two other broken cars that can prove otherwise sir. And no human will shift as fast or as consistent as a DSG.

very true, however nothing beats a clutch pedal for fun factor
DSG love all over the place
no dsg will ever outlast a manual box.
besides, how do you double clutch a dsg when racing? thats the only way to win.
All of my cars I’ve owned so far has had 3 pedals… I’m hoping to stay that way but DSGs are very neat
Stallmer can shift faster than a DSG, ive witnessed
ive driven both. if i had to buy a new one it would be a tough choice

No one shifts faster than DSG!
I’d always go with three pedals for fun factor. Maybe that’ll change in like 20 years, though.
brother swears to his
me on the other hand respect it but its so easy to be good at flapping a paddle. so unconnected to the car and weak in terms of driving expierence.
i wanna feel the gears, i love the connection you get everytime you shift. i say fuck stupid flappy paddles.

The first actual dual-clutch transmissions were derived from Porsche in-house development for their Model 962 racing cars in the 1980s. In simple terms, a DSG is two separate manual gearboxes (and clutches) contained within one housi...
