DSM guys I have a question

y not step up to a 50 trim. spool up isnt that much worse and with fwd id imagine it wouldnt hurt.

because I need something that will fit in the housings I have or I might as well do something way bigger than a 50trim because greddy uses different flanges than DSM’s

why dont you be happy with low 12’s and stop pouring money into that shit? Is having that mid 11 sec slip really worth all that headache?

lol why stop. I am finally competitve in power street for top 3 or 4 at any given event. I could have won at bristol this past weekend and made well over a grand. If you do some national events and get your name out people will start to back you and that is my goal. Norwalk is in october and if I can get to consistant low 12’s and Jim Hucks doesn’t show up I have a real shot at over a grand to do what I love to do.

win a grand and only have to run low 12s at a national? seems a little fairy tail with all the honda guys that are out there, shit how would i do? 2 grand? sorry just doesnt seem right

obviously you don’t look into classes. the NDRA power street class is for FWD turbo cars with one power adder and BFG or Nitto drag radials and AWD RWD cars with true street radial tires. all cars must have full interior including carpet. must have factory steering shaft. tranny must be OEM from cars manufactuer. no fuel cells. no cutting to lighten. lighter body panels limited to CF hood, trunk and side skirts. no cutting to fit larger tires. all 6 cylinders and rotarys must be all motor, must have head lights, all glass windows, turnsignals etc. must have valid inspection.

there are more but that is the most of it. if you want more DL the NDRA rules. last weekend the winner was danny smith with 12.4@119mph. Jim Hucks went 11.1 in qualifing but the car broke in eliminations. most DSM’s don’t do it cause they can compete in the turbo 4 class for more money and on regular radials unless you are a hell of a driver you are at a disadvantage to the faster FWD cars.

winner gets 500+contingenct which I have 2 of the sponsors parts and 250/part so 1000 bucks for me last weekend if I would have run 12.4 and got a good light.

edit: the faster guys go to turbo 4 because there are more payouts and it is the last step before goin pro legitamately. that is where Brain ballard, john ferguson, rob mckeller are racing now

here are a few of the last races results from the class:

Mat Keller Acura Integra .059 9.727 150.41

dang…

mats car is the inline pro integra. he did 9.6 the week before and backed it up a few times. also I think he trapped at like 154mph or so on those passes

is there anything out there for my car to win money lol.

sweet

brian you would like his car. every part is functional and it is still a street car.

Tray you would have to run turbo 6 or sport RWD both of which you are not ready for yet. you need low 11’s in those classes to compete

here is a pic of Kellers car:
